“The Dartington Cider Press Centre offers a unique collection of fine foods, glass, traditional crafts, jewellery, pottery, books, toys, stationery, gifts, kitchenware and world crafts.”

Open all year round, the Cider Press Centre has a detailed historical account of cider production including the pulping, pressing and pasteurising of cider.

Although the cider marking ceased fifty years ago, the centre provides shoppers with fifteen fantastic shops combining a wide collection of crafts that you can enjoy and experience regardless of age.

With numerous events and entertainment on every month, ranging from solo singers and jazz music to jugglers and puppets there are plenty of reasons to visit the Dartington Centre.

“All profits from the Cider Press Centre are covenanted to the Dartington Hall Trust and are used to support a wide variety of charitable activities – enabling, for example, trees to be planted, Third World students to study, or a city based youth orchestra to visit Dartington and perform in its Great Hall.”
